Requirements

Please read the following information.  If you meet the residents’ requirements and accept the terms as stated, complete the enclosed apartment application form and mail it to Lurie Terrace.

RESIDENTS’ REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum age for all residents is 62.
  2. When a resident is accepted, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required.
  3. Residents are responsible for keeping apartments maintained.
  4. Residents participate in the Dinner Meal Plan, which consists of 15 dinners per month.  Cost:  $120 (double occupancy add $120).  Additional dinners are $8 each. Cafeteria-style breakfasts and lunches are also available. (The Dining Room serves meals Monday through Friday.)
  5. The initial lease for an apartment is for a period of one year. After the first year, the lease is on a monthly basis.  When lease is signed, the first month’s rent, meal plan, air conditioning expense, and a refundable security deposit are due. Tenants are expected to pay their rent, air conditioning and meal expenses while away, due to vacations, illness or other reasons.
  6. Furniture and other possessions will be limited, due to the compactness of the apartments.  Management has final authority in determining the amount of furniture and possessions tenants may bring.
  7. Acknowledgment will be made upon receipt of this application.  A personal interview will be requested before admission.
